The Karibuni Eco Cottages-Kenya are in Ndhiwa. Ndhiwa is a small rural village. The Eco Cottages are in the beautiful Nyanza region of Western Kenya. They are traditional Luo mud huts. As well as some more modern brick-built cottages.

This is a great place to soak up the culture. Or become involved with the community tourism project. You can also use it as a base to explore nearby areas. This is the real Africa, off the beaten path. Something you don't often get to see first hand.

This is a community-based tourism initiative. It is run by the Karibuni Women's Development Initiative. The focus is to empower the community to have a sustainable future. Karibuni Eco Cottages-Kenya is also a resource for sustainable development in the area. The initiative supports responsible and ethical tourism. The goal is to empower women and girls to improve their lives. By doing this, they can transform their communities.
