The Village Eco Award

The Village received the eco-tourism award in 1991 from Representative Lagomarsino in a ceremony in Washington DC. A notice of the eco-tourism award was put into the Congressional Record by Senator Bennett Johnston.

The Congressional Record said that "Bob and Patti have shown how sensitively designed projects can have a positive impact on the cultural and economic environment while still making a profit. No one could be more deserving of this award than the Arthur's and I hope their work and contributions will stand as a goal for others in other places in the world."
