A new ecolodge has just opened in Nicaragua. Jicaro Island Ecolodge is located on a private island. Please visit their site: Jicaro Island Ecolodge to take a look at this wonderful place. Their Eco Rating was a 3.6 out of 5, which is pretty impressive given that they've only been open a month. We expect that rating to go up soon.

Two new lodges joining the Eco Rating/Butterfly Club in one day! The first one is located in St. Lucia in the Caribbean. It was formerly a sugar plantation. To visit their site: Balenbouche Estate.

Ever wanted to live in a luxury sustainably built tree house? Try out Corcovado Rainforest Ocean Tree House: Corcovado Rainforest Ocean View Tree House. They've just joined the Eco Rating/Butterfly Club. They're located in Costa Rica in the only lowland primary rainforest in Central America.
