Of all the experiences we had only some, very
few, define or change our
life's road, the ones we had the opportunity to enjoy at
Las Cañadas allowed
us to clearly see our life's project.
Marisol y José, México, D.F. September 2001
We thank all your finesses, we had a great
time and the trip ended up far
more interesting than we could imagine. We look forward
to be with you
again.
Yuki y Harald, México, D.F. February 2004
It is not hard, at such a beautiful place
like this, to make people happy
... though you make a great job; The service, the place
and the activities
were excellent.
Jessica y Ricco, México, D.F. January 1999
Thanks for this marvelous weekend! There is a whole world
to learn from this
our land, and you are our translators, we are leaving happy
and well fed
with all the splendid food by Lucy and co., we wish you
the best.
Familia Spitalier, México, D.F. August 1999
When we were driving to this place from Mexico City we wondered
"Where are
we coming to? How is it going to be this strange weekend?
Any expectative
we had was amply fulfilled and it is truly a joy to meet
people like you,
not only because of the care and protection of nature but
for salvaging the
traditions and augment man's spirit's wealth. Thanks for
what you taught
through your example.
Familia Chozas, México, D.F. August 2000
Thanks for this experience. The "temazcal" (sweat
lodge), the forest and the
vegetable garden taught us a lot of things from ourselves
that we did not
know. The food and hospitality have also been excellent.
We hope to put to
practice the project that only a few days ago seemed illusory
but thanks to
this visit feels more tangible and real. We hope to be back
soon with the
other half of our family.
Rodrigo y Armando T., México, D.F. November 2000
"We think this is a most wonderful permaculture site.
Your attention to
detail and comfort for your guests is much appreciated.
The food is
delicious. The balance of farm, dairy and forest is most
carefully planned.
The world needs many more people like you in order to transform
our planet
from our dangerous consumptive self-centered way of living
to a balance,
peaceful and most of all sustainable lifestyle, so that
our children can
know of the world´s riches and can sustain their own
families on into the
future."
Karen S. and Peter S., Portland, Oregon U.S.A. October 2000
This project sheds a lot of hope, the shadows of Mordor
are not blacker from
this rebelling refuge, I hope, like you, that this place,
more than a
shelter be a world's model proposal, hope to work together
in these matters.
Congratulations.
Juan Pablo Estudillo, México, D.F. January 2003
Sometimes we wake up feeling alone, that our dreams have
gone beyond sanity.
Knowing places like Las Cañadas beckons our going
ahead.
María J. y Manuel U., Querétaro, Qro., March
1999
"He who binds to himself a joy
Does the nature´s life destroy
But he who kines the joy as it flies
Lives in eternity sunrise ".
This William Blake's poem mirrors this enchanting place's
spirit: You can
touch Nature with a kiss, passing, flying. Thanks Ricardo
and Tania and all
Las Cañadas gang.
Paul C., Le Thoronet, France, November 2002
Thanks a lot for having allowed us to share with you this
life project. The
children learn through living experiences and this one for
sure was very
rich. I hope the seed was received in fertile soil and they
have the
sensibility to make it grow. We look forward to repeat the
experience soon.
Colegio Monte Alban, Oaxaca, Oax., June 2002
Thanks for this Nature's injection so good for us asphalt

Ana Leticia, México, D.F., June 2002

you all,

Febo y Mónica, México, D.F., May 2003
Thanks a million for all the attentions to the Nebraska
University, Tropical
Ecology group. All, from the arrangements to the lodging,
the food, the
forest and the weather were excellent.
Ernesto Ruelas I., Xalapa, Ver., July 2003
Thank you for helping us listen to our hearts.
Gabriela Márquez, July 2003
I truly congratulate you from the bottom of my heart. Funes
Monzote family
had good expectations from Las Cañadas, but reality
has gone beyond them by
far. All the components, the forest walk, the vegetable
garden, the orchard,
the buildings, restrooms, food, cheeses and cheesery, everithing
is
impressive. And having lived the "temazcal" experience
is an unforgettable
thing in my life.
I wish you great success and congratulations!
Dr. Fernando Funes A, CUBA, Agosto 2003
It has been very gratifying to know teachings so marvelous
to leave a better
world for our grandchildren in harmony with Nature for the
next thousands of
years.
Boone H., Rancho Teja, Ixtlán de Juarez Oaxaca, September

First of all, receive my more sincere thankfullness for
the hospitality in
my trip to your beautiful and interesting country. It was
truly a fortune
meeting you and learning of your family enterprise that,
with so much
respect and love, you are working at giving it form. May
God preserve you
and keeps on giving you the satisfaction of living in this
quiet pool.
Carlos Hernando M., El Hatico, Colombia, July 2003
Beautiful family and all those who work at and believe in
Las Cañadas.
Thank you very much ...for believing in a dream and be making
it reality step by step, for rescuing the lost paradise,
for all your effort and example and love to life, to
life, to life ...
Miguel Angel M., OCIA-LA, Oaxaca, October 2003
Thank you for an experience that I will keep for as long
as I live, an
example to follow. It is good to know that there is out
there some persons
making a titanic effort and sharing the knowledge.
Iván Lomeli, La Barca, Jalisco, November 2003
Sometimes, in this consumist world, where everything is
measured in money,
the status, etc. The most important passes to the last place,
but being with
you, with Nature and teaching us a little consciousness
of our environment,
is where we meet our real selves again.
Paula Cortazar, México D.F., January 2004
We sincerely thank you for all the attentions. We have had
a marvelous time in this place of natural beauty were we
ate well and slept better. With your every day hard work,
have made of Las Cañadas a little piece of paradise.
So long!
