The 300 foot long suspension bridge is an access to the Tropical Garden. The bridge spans a 75-foot deep rain forest gorge that has a lovely creek running along the bottom.

Surrounding the Lodge are hiking trails. As a result, hundreds of different birds are visible. Including the Fiery-billed Aracari, Blue-crowned Motmot as well as the endangered Scarlet Macaws. The Eco Lodge’s free kayaks are a great way to explore the waterways. While kayaking you may see dolphins, rays, and sea turtles. Furthermore you may spot capuchin monkeys on the shore. Green Turtle Sanctuary
There is a green turtle sanctuary on our property that is run by a local group called “La Tortuga Viva”, which translates into The Living Turtle. As a guest of Playa Viva-Mexico, you can join them in their nightly patrols to count and secure eggs and baby turtles. The activity depends on when the green sea turtles lay their eggs and they hatch.
We believe in giving back to the community. Playa Viva-Mexico is a member of Pack for Purpose. This encourages guests to bring a few items for the projects we support in the community. Those projects we support include a local primary school serving about a 100 students. Students are aged 6-12. We also support the medical clinic in Juluchuca. It services around 1,500 people.
