.... The Kicheche Mara camp was amazing and without doubt the most beautiful place I have ever stayed in my life. I have been lucky to stay in several 5-star hotels around the world, but this camp far exceeded all of those - not necessarily in amenities, but in the sheer pleasure and comfort of the stay. The camp managers, Charles, Sonia and Andy were amazing. Their warmth and care towards their guests cannot be beaten. The hotels I mentioned should hang their heads in shame when compared to Kicheche. As for the camp itself - where else can you stay and have a herd of elephant gently brush up against your tent as they wander through in the night? An awesome experience I will never forget and will treasure forever.

Moving onto the game drives, again I am stuck for suitably gushing words! Our driver and spotter, Julius, is in a league of his own. His knowledge, passion, kindness and ability to spot animals that I can't even see through binoculars is beyond belief. I am told that our luck with finding animals is quite rare, but if we had a 'typical' week, I would struggle to believe that Lion were endangered species - we were tripping over the things everywhere we went!!! Not only did Julius find us the 'big-5', I think he must have gone through the 'big-105'!
