In march 2007 we stayed in this small paradise and even
after all these months not a single days goes by that we would
want to be there to watch the amazing sunset drinking a cool
julbrew.
A lovely set up with only 8 rooms, we enjoyed it from
the moment we arrived thanks to the wonderful staff and the managers
nolleke and marc.
we admire them and they are constantly trying to teach their staff,
local visitors and the community to be respectful to nature. they
are not fully ecological but solar power (as electricity does not
even excist in that part of gambia) and their own water source,
organic fruits and vegetables from nearby small farms and loads
of fresh fish.
we can't wait till it is january as then we will return there for
another great holiday!

This is a small scale eco-friendly lodge I visited during my stay
in Gambia. I used your site as a reference whilst doing some research
for my holiday there. Did not stay in any of the accommodations you
suggested but opted for this one.
A real paradise I would say and more people need to know about it,
so here I go.
