Not long returned from our Trip to The Gambia. The highlight
of my party's trip was the Night at Bintang Bolong. Thank you for
helping run such a fantastic lodge. Every single member of Staff
were so helpful, I have never met a bunch quite like them. Solo
held everything together so well. The trips were enjoyable although
2 members of party struggled due to there being no back rests in
the boats, which for a 5 hr journey is very uncomfortable.
The only thing we feel very bad about is that we tipped member
of staff who were helpful to us, but we totally forgot about the
Cook. Even though she made our dinner by Candlelight with great
effort!!!!! Every meal she cooked was fantastic. Please pass our
thanks on to the Staff at Bintang, Especially the Cook!!!!!!We
are sorry we never showed our appreciation.

Just thought i'd drop a line to say how much we enjoyed our week
at bintang. We were well looked after by all the staff (and the
village as a whole!), I can't single anyone out as they were all
very good. We had several good trips around the area and even managed
to catch our own supper from the Bolong. Minor irritations included
no running water and rather erratic electric. I understand that
you are still in the process of renovating the lodge after a period
of neglect, so I hope it proves successful!

Thank you for your hospitality at Bintang Bolong Lodge. We were
delighted with our stay, the staff were lovely, friendly, and the
food was excellent. We enjoyed a dance in the village and we experienced
an awesome location. The accommodation was exactly as we had expected,
fabulous. It was only sad that we could not have returned for a
final night with you.
I have already informed Mark Thompson of Hidden Gambia that we
loved your lodgings, and I will do my best to express to Emma Gregg
of the Rough Guide to Gambia that you have a fantastic site. We
have taken photos (that is our job) and if you don't mind, we would
like to circulate them among the travel industry if they wish to
include you in their business.

I just want to say thanks to the people at the lodge, who made
my holiday very special.
I fully understand that due to the lack of guests, the money is
limited.
However, the service of the staff was excellent and Solo organised/suggested
a variety of activities (including an invite to his house for lunch),
which
gave me a good inside view of the culture in this country.
Omar was an outstanding travel guide with good knowledge, who
explained/translated many things.
The people in the kitchen/bar, even they did not have a big choice
of menues
per day, the meals very tasty and surprisingly flexible and people
were
friendly and obliging. In the evenings we also had a lots of fun.
Altogether I had a very nice holiday which also was due to the
friendly
environment at the lodge.

The best thing of our trip to Gambia has been the Bintang Bolong.
We have been lovers of that place so beautiful and of their people.
It transmits to their our employees gratefulness and especially
to Solo and to the guide Esa,Thatt you/they have behaved very well
with us. That is a great person, in which you can trust fully.
Send me the electronic mail of Solo to send him you photograph
the one to their employees. Very grateful for everything and I
hope to return some day to collaborate
with the school of the village.
